About:

Toram Online is a highly compatible, 'Stylized' MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) with a once large but still thriving playerbase and Incredible storyline. The game runs well on both high and low-end devices, while not sacrificing its graphics too much, instead focusing on a more low-poly stylized art style unique to itself. As the average device specs the average person has is slowly increasing, Toram Online finds its playerbase drawing smaller BUT fear not, the playerbase may be slowly reducing in size but its playerbase stays strong, from new players looking for a chilled MMORPG, to older veterans coming back after a while. The playerbas stands strong.

Toram allows you to have fun no matter your play style, be it the lone wolf or that one person who can't have fun without their squad. You have the ability to play solo or make a party and journey with friends or even "randos" you run into along the way. The toram community in-game is just as helpful as outside the game, making it really easy for newer players. The community really is just what one would hope for in any fantasy rpg game, a friendly, laid back community, however it would be impossible to have no problem children as Toram itself does have its share of rare idiots trying to ruin everyone's day. The in-game community is filled with veterans willing to party up and help lower levels rank up, lower level players looking to have fun and grow with other newer players, and those who just enjoy lounging around, chatting and enjoying the scenery of different areas/maps.

Whilst there are many other popular games such as:

Toram Online really makes a difference with its minimal spec requirements while still having nearly as much functionality and area exploration as the more popular titles. The game's initial download size is only a few 100mb with the ingame downloads only being downloaded automatically when required. These consist of map downloads (and considering the number of maps there are it makes sense) as well as other downloads like events, avatars items and equipment/weapons.
On the topic of events, toram not only has regular updates, but regular annual events which happen each year -such as the 'XMas Event'. But the Asobimo team didnt stop there... along with the seasonal events there are also shorter "special" events - '5 Million Downloads' - and collaboration events -'ReZero Collaboration 1 & 2'. In these events, you get to take on event quests, fight event specific monsters and get event limited collectibles and equipment. The event quests can be either collect quests, where items can be collected through defeating specific - "normal monsters" - or battle quests where you partake in event specific battles.

Toram approaches character creation and calss selection dynamically, allowing players to design their own character from various options meanwhile class selection is approached through weapon selection and skills. Initially you are able to choose from 5 different weapon classes, but later on throughout the game, the skills and stat points you allocate allow you to change your class, thus "dynamic" in theory. The initial choice is to give you the corresponding initial skill in the skill tree for that weapon class and is a means of making the game more beginner friendly.

World:

Toram handles the world environment by having it split up to multiple connected maps, whereby you walk to the edge of a map / “teleport point” which will take you to the respective area. This makes Toram ideal as you don’t have to download the entire world in go and optimizes the game size. The world / map has boundaries as like all rpg games, but one thing to notice is most maps will have boundaries stopping you from falling down to different sections of that map area. However, if you do find yourself in a map area that doesn’t stop you from falling…worry not! Toram doesn’t have fall damage… most times. Some rules, including this fall damage one does not apply to events and sometimes boss battles. Travelling to different maps/ map areas can be done by walking through the “teleport points” and there is a map you can use for if ever get lost. Through the map you can also teleport to different maps if you have teleport tickets.

Battle - PVE:

In Toram there are two main types of battles, boss battles and open map battles. Monsters in Toram Online can be found in most maps excluding safe zones with various strengths, weaknesses and personal traits and are the key to distinguishing battle types. The most common type of battle you will run into are those in the open, where monsters you can escape by getting 24 meters away from a monster you are engaged with. Some non-boss monsters might even target you if you are a lower level than them. There are also map/area boss monsters, called mini bosses. Battles with these monsters are classified under the open map battles and thus you can escape by getting 24 meters away from the monster. Beware of using AoE attacks in such areas though as you may unintentionally begin battles with more monsters than you can handle at once!!
Then there are also actual boss monsters. When beginning a boss battle, you are teleported to a map with limited space which you cannot escape from, unless if you enter the teleport point area whereby you will need to wait 5 seconds before being teleported out to safety. Getting more than 24 meters away from a boss will not disengage the battle, only escaping will.
All monsters drop specific items (equipment or materials -mats) which can be checked through the map by clicking on the monster but with boss battles, drops are not always 100% certain and sometimes you need to “break” them to gain specific items. All monsters also have a type – Fire, Water, Neutral, Light etc – and can be stronger or weaker against other types of equipment and attacks – Fire is weak against water.

Battle - PVP:

You will get clapped.

Equipment and Consumables:

Equipment such as Weapons, armours and talismans can be found as drops from different monsters or be crafted at the blacksmith using the materials required for them at a fee. Consumables work in pretty much the same way, consumables for regen (Regeneration) or buffs can be gotten from monsters or crafted at the alchemist. Regen and buff consumables can affect stats such as atk (attack), def (defense), health, MP as well as status ailments such as fatigue, or poison. Consumables are Crucial and can level up your entire game experience. There are also special consumables which can affect exp gain and drop rate.
Equipment and consumables can also be crafted by a player by using the Blacksmith and Alchemy skills, which can be obtained from the library.
Another way too obtain these items is through trading. Players can trade items with other players or even sell or buy the items, but not all items are tradeable or sellable. Only equipment crafted by other players is tradeable meanwhile equipment obtained from the blacksmith or monsters is untradeable, there are also special equipment which are untradeable and unsellable. Most consumables can be traded or sold. Trading items can be done directly with another player using the trading system. The selling or buying of items can be done at a general store or by making use of the Consignment Board (CB) system where other players can view and buy (or sell) items which were registered to be sold without the seller needing to actively be there.
Items which aren't needed can be sold or discarded if a player wants to make space in their storage, bag expansion slots can also be bought using Orbs - another form of currency within Toram Online. One must be careful though as once the item is discarded or sold, there is no way to get it back other than creating or obtaining the item again.
